J & E’s Father and Son team (Jerry and Matt Gibbs) get a lot done while they are at work, but they also like to spend time together away from the challenges of copy paper, toner and all of those pens and pencils.

Just like office supplies, running brings the family closer together.  That is a picture of Jerry Gibbs (far right), Matt (in the middle) and to complete the lineup is Matt’s younger brother John at a running event.

They are all avid runners but with very different outlooks on running.  Jerry can sum it up like this “I’m going to start out slow and taper off from there” while Matt continues to push it harder and faster to the next level.  John (who is still in college) fits in the middle somewhere.  Both Matt and Jerry are continually nudging on “the young one” to get into the business.

Jerry is truly the “Veteran” of the duo.  He has been in the industry since his graduation from Kirkwood High School back in 1976 when his late Father, John Gibbs, established the business known as “J&E’s Office Supplies.”  At the time it was strictly a printing shop in Maplewood, Missouri.

Also fresh from High School, Matt graduated from CBC High School in 2003 and has taken step right behind his Father.  Since he was the last official company hire, Matt is still known as the “Rookie” on staff.

Both Father and Son are always ready and willing to help the customer with their every need for the office.
